Supply Chain Models now available FREE§
for limited time only
Proforma Corporation has taken another giant
step to help customers gain greater efficiency and productivity.
They have just released ProSCOR, a set of classical supply-chain
operations modelled in ProVision. ProSCOR can help you eliminate
inefficiencies in your supply chain.
ProSCOR provides a robust environment for managing
supply-chain information. It gives you both the models and the tool
set to redesign supply-chain processes, determine associated system
and infrastructure requirements, and address critical issues in
today's supply-chain operations.
To introduce you to ProSCOR, Delegate IT is
running a special program. §If
you are currently a member of the Supply-Chain Council, or if you
join, you are entitled to a free copy of ProSCOR. Any Supply-Chain
Council member who purchases a copy of ProVision Workbench by November
22, 2002, will receive a free copy of ProSCOR. If you want to run
ProSCOR on an existing license of ProVision, you can get ProSCOR
at a special introductory price of $3000.
To find out more you can download the latest
analysis paper "Seeing clearly will improve your SCOR"
at http://www.proformacorp.com/downloads/whitepapers.asp
or email us.
ProSCOR is based on the Supply-Chain Operations
Reference (SCOR) models created by the Supply-Chain Council (SCC)
and can only be distributed to SCC members. But joining is a simple
procedure. To become a member of the SCC:
- Go to the Supply Chain Counsel web site:
http://www.supply-chain.org
- Under Member benefits - select Join Supply
Chain Counsel. The enrolment form is self-explanatory and the
cost is US$2,000.
Once you are a member, we can send you the ProSCOR
models for your review. Simply send us an email,
confirm that you are an SCC member, and request the ProSCOR models.
To view the models you will need a demonstration copy of ProVision
EnterprisePro which can be downloaded from our website.
Workflow Technology and Standards
"Workflow technology is adjacent to the
functionality offered in ProVision. ProVision's workflow model,
most notably, enables an enterprise to describe their business process
in great semantic detail. The workflow model then serves, at the
very least, as the design for workflow implementations. " Jerry
Huchzermeier (Proforma CTO).
The current and future direction of Proforma's
Workflow tools support is outlined in this document
from the Proforma CTO.
HTML Publishing
The new version of ProVision offers extended
HTML Publishing capabilities. These include the ability to add your
own Cascading Style Sheets as well as navigation to child models
and context displayed interpretations. Searching and list of hyperlinked
objects are also available.
Please browse our online
publishing example and create your own using the evaluation
version of ProVision.

ProVision News
New Version
4.1 just released
This easy to use web like portal
provides an intuitive way to graphically model, view and improve
all aspects of an enterprise. With the Enterprise Portal an organization
can focus on each of the fundamental business dimensions
who, what, why, where, when and how through six integrated
command centers:
- Strategy Command Center (why)
models the goals, opportunities, business rules and problems,
enabling an organization to define its strategic initiatives
- Organizational Command Center
(who) provides an understanding of the organizational structure
by defining the key players and their roles
- Communication Command Center
(where) represents the relationships within the enterprise
and outlines the communication patterns that exist
- Process Command Center (how)
identifies business functions, processes, and activities
- Work Flow Command Center (when)
charts when that work occurs and analyzes the impact on cost,
timing and resources
- Business Class Command Center
(what) defines the data necessary for intelligent system design
to support the processes and work flows
The Enterprise Portal collectively
represents the architecture, or framework, for an organization and
its operations allowing for informed business and IT decisions.
It supports popular frameworks such as Zachman, C4ISR and also can
be customized to meet other internal architecture standards.
When enterprise concepts are
understood and modeled, they collectively represent the organizations
operational architecture and serve as the basis for sound decision-making,
said Hugh Mensch, vice president of business development at Proforma.
With the smooth communication, quick feedback and simplified
approach provided by Enterprise Portal, companies now have the support
they need to build the ultimate knowledge repository and efficiently
address the opportunities and challenges they face in this dynamic
business environment.
Publishing to HTML will also provide
a new look via Microsoft's HTML Help engine. The new utility will
allow greater flexibility for the user. Users can now apply their
own brand to the look and feel of the overview, model, interpretation
and object usage cross-reference sections of the output. Search
and object cross-references are automatically generated for each
publish list; this powerful feature allows the user the ability
to search and show how each object is used with the publish list
of models.
See our website
for further details of the new features.
