    • Savvion Business Manager & Business Process Management

Business Process Management is the next logical step following design and improvement of processes using ProVision. Savvion Business Manager (SBM) is a leader in this new and exciting area, in which business processes can be automatically implemented within days, instead of months. Version 5.0 of SBM is due within weeks and contains around 120 enhancements over Version 4.0.

Delegate IT is a distributor of the Savvion range of tools and products, as well as providing consulting and more importantly, the tie-in from ProVision-designed processes and implementation of those processes using BusinessManager. Please email or call us for more details about eliminating tedious software development when implementing your processes. Note that the Savvion Website now has Flash Tours and on-demand Webinars to explain how SBM can work for you.

    • MX Contact for Managing your Clients

Delegate IT is now distributing a solution for those clients who need an Outlook based, fully scalable and distributed CRM System. Please see our brochure for more details.

Here is a user's perspective on this innovative product:
"Our company has been using MX Contact for some time now after using mass market products, such as ACT and having difficulties in customisation and sharing data amongst staff. We felt that other tools duplicated the functionality of Outlook and required constant synchronisation between the two products.
MX Contact is different, since it is entirely based on Outlook and extends the functionality provided to allow emails to be automatically linked to contacts and companies by matching email addresses dynamically. MX Contact provides the ability to track companies, contacts, internal staff and teams, journals of phonecalls, emails, opportunities for sales, product sales, orders, marketing (campaigns and events) and support (incidents and issues).
We find the comprehensive reporting and customisation of forms, reports, folders and even the ability to create and modify the code behind the tool to be extremely helpful in creating exactly the CRM System we need.
The use of Exchange and shared folders means that all users can be in sync with each other at all times and even mobile users can take MX Contact off-line, make changes in the field and then resync automatically when they return."

    ProVision News

    ProVision Update due soon

ProVision Version 4.3 is due soon and will provide some additional modellers to supplement the existing UML and System Architecture capabilities.

    New modellers

The new "Package" modeller will let users organize their packages (express parent-child, super-sub and dependency relationships). It essentially lets the user manage their UML components at the package level, with the ability to navigate from a package (on the Package modeller) to either the Package or Class modeller. Navigating to the Package modeller exposes the Component Packages. Navigating to the Class modeller exposes the Component Classes and Interfaces.

Class or Deployment Models will be able to be associated with a subject System. The Class Model will contain the Classes implemented by the System. These Classes will be organized into Packages (fully qualified names such as OrderManagement::Utility::BubbleSort). The Deployment Model describes how the System is deployed in terms of system components resident on various nodes. For example, you will be able to show that the Order Form is a UI component of the system and this component is deployed on the Sales Web Server. You could also show that the Order Form component depends upon the Credit Check component which is deployed on the Billing Application Server.

Delegate IT will advise customers when Version 4.3 is released and those with current maintenance will be able to download the new version immediately.

    ProVision Holosofx & ReqPro Links

Delegate IT will shortly have available a ProVision link to allow import of workflow models from IBM's Holosofx Tool. There is now no reason not to move to the superior capabilities of ProVision.

We are also assessing interest in a Rational RequisitePro (Requirements Management) link to ProVision. This will allow captured requirements to be traced into business objects within ProVision in order to relate requirements specifications in text format into the actual business design models created in ProVision.

Please contact us if either of these interfaces is of interest.

    Proforma News

Proforma has announced a new partnership with Fuego to deliver a Comprehensive Business Process Management Solution. See the Press Release for more information.
